Easy Caramel Shortbread Recipie

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog.

First of all I would like to thank all of you for following my blog I really am very grateful!

Since I was little caramel shortbread has always been something I have loved but I have never found an easy recipe to follow until the other day so i've decided to share it with you since it tastes so good.

You will need:

For the shortbread:
250g- Plain Flour
75g- Caster Sugar
175g- butter

For the caramel:
100g-Butter
100g Light Brown Sugar
2 x 397g- Cans Condensed Milk

For the topping:
200g-Milk(Dark) Chocolate
110g White choclate

Method

1- Heat the oven to 180 degrees.
2- Lightlty grease a 33cm x 23cm tin (If the tin is a bit smaller than this dont worry, you dont need to change measurements)
3-Mix together the flour sugar in a mixing bowl.
4-Rub in the butter until the mixture is the same as breadcrumbs.
5-Kneed the mixture together to form a dough and then press into the base of the tin.
6-Prick lightly with a fork and bake for about 20 minutes or until firm to touch and lightly brown.
7- Leave the shortbread to cool.
8- To make the caramel place butter, sugar and condensed milk into a pan and heat gently until all the sugar is dissolved ( you need to keep stirring all the time and make sure your reaching all parts of the pan or the sugar will burn and you will have to start again)
9- Then reduce the heat and stir continuously until the mixture thickens.
10-Pour over the shortbread and put in the fridge to cool.
11- Once the caramel is firm you can start on the topping.
12- Melt the milk or dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water.
13- When melted remove from the heat and pour all over the caramel.
14- Then melt the white chocolate the same as before.
15- Drizzle fine lines over the milk/dark chocolate and put into the fridge to set.
16- Once the chocolate is hard you are ready to cut into squares and enjoy!

Hi everyone

So recently I finished year 11 and have decided that if I get the results I want then I would like to go to sixth form. At my school the sixth form does not have a uniform but a dress code which is smart/office wear - something i've never had to think about before.Although i love shopping i have never found shopping such a challenge i was lost for inspiration. I figured a few of you may be in the same position as me so i decided to create to moodboards full of inspiration. I decided to pick two shops to help me.I choose missguided and new look.

My Little Beauty Book

Hello Everyone, Welcome back to my blog.

So the other day I decided to go into town; after spending what felt like hours traipsing in and out of stores I decided to go into tkmaxx in the hope that something would catch my eye.Without even having a second to think I found myself in the make-up section - what a surprise!

After searching the shelves and being shocked at what products they had I seen this thing at the back and was immediately drawn to it. I've heard alot about elf products many being of which people are shocked of the quality of the products especially considering the price.I decided to buy it since I found it intriguing and with it only being £4.00 I couldn't leave it behind.

It is called the natural look beauty book and it contains 6 eye shadows,1 primer,1 brown eye-liner and an eye-shadow applicator.

After using this product for a few days now I can tell you that it is worth way more money than just £4.00.
On the left side of the book it tells you the ways to use the different colours. The daytime colours( The three on the left) are at the top and the night time colours (The three on the right ) are on the bottom. The steps are very clear so are easy to follow  to create the desired look -and even if you didn't know a thing about make-up and eye-shadow it would still come out looking good.

I was skeptical about trying the primer and the eye liner however I was pleasantly surprised.
The eye liner was extremely creamy so made application very smooth and with it being brown it defined my eyelashes very well.Although it was the primer that shocked me the most.I did not expect this to do anything special or live up to my exceptions. This product could easily be compared with urban decays primer potion. It is very blendable and doesn't cake making it very hidden, the primer also made my eye shadow stay on for at least 10 hours which is very good going considering the price.

Overall this product has exceeded all expectations and I would suggest to anyone that they should try out elf products as i think they deserve alot more credit than they get, I will defiantly be purchasing more.

Have you ever tried elf products if so what were your opinions id love to hear!

Thank you for reading today's post, don't forget to follow me on Google plus and instagram and i will be back on Saturday with a new post.

The Wonderful World of Books

Hello everyone and welcome back to my Blog!

Since finishing school I have found myself sitting aimlessly trying to find something to do and with the weather being so nice in England at the minute I wanted to take full advantage of it. This led me upon finding a huge box full of all different kinds of books that I used to repeatedly read when I was younger.

A few months back i decided to read the fault in our starts - What a book! I thoroughly loved all the different experiences and emotions that book took me on, so much so that i ended up finishing the book in 3 days! This was this point when I decided that I want to read again, after much procrastination I finally decided to bite the bullet and go and buy some books!

So there I was standing amongst shelves and shelves of books, all planning to take you to a different journeys. For someone who thought they didn't enjoy reading I was standing there with 6 titles in my hand struggling with the huge dilemma of which ones to buy. I managed to narrow it down to these two; Looking for Alaska by John Green and About the boy by Bridget Jones.

I've had these books just over a week and have found myself experiencing every different emotion within the space of a couple of pages. I have been addicted to the different journeys these books take your imagination on. I find myself spending hours sitting in the garden reading my book.

The book that I am currently reading is Looking for Alaska, after just two days I am already 100 pages in! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves typical teenage romance. I personally believe that John Green is a very talented author, I cannot fault his books or the style he writes them in, im always left wanting more! His books let your imagination have a world of its on!

The Bridget Jones book is alot more light hearted and would  suggest this book to anyone who loves both the films and books where you laugh until your stomach hurts but also not afraid to cry.Once again this book takes you on a whirlwind of emotions with every page different to the next.

I hope that reading is going to be a habit that sticks around for me and if your stuck for something to do these holidays i would definatley suggest giving reading a try.

What something you would suggest doing this summer?

I hope you have all enjoyed todays post don't forget to follow me on bloglovin and google plus and be sure to let me know what you thought of my blog and ill be back with a new post on Wednesday.
